According to the authorities, construction in the framework of the program to provide Russian families with housing is carried out too slowly.
First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov believes that the large-scale construction of residential areas with a low unit cost is hampered by weak competition among domestic developers. Meanwhile, developers from China pledge to accelerate (two years against three) to build 25 million “residential squares”, asking for this remuneration 15% less than their domestic counterparts.
Thus, only a few Russian developers are interested in the construction of low-cost residential space. However, construction companies from China are ready to implement the plans of our Government in full. The Chinese are going to build an economy option for housing for the Russians at the same time, and much more quickly!
According to RHD statistics, domestic needs for residential areas today reach 280 million square meters. To address the issue of providing housing for the population of all regions of the country, according to Shuvalov, at least 100 million "squares" must be built annually.
